Soak Away PMS Symptoms in the Bathtub!

Echte Kamille (Matricaria recutita)Image via Wikipedia

Are you feeling anxious? Toss 5 chamomile tea bags in the water. Chamomile tea contains ingredients that lower levels of stress hormones in the bloodstream and increase serotonin, the body's "feel good" chemical.

Do you have cramps? Add 2 drops of rose oil and 1 teaspoon of cornstarch to hot running water. The pleasant aroma of the oil combats depression and eases pain.

Do you feel tense and sore? Add a few drops of lavender oil to your bath water. Inhaling the scent of lavender has a numbing effect on pain receptors in the brain, bringing instant relief!

To keep the good feeling, sip on lavender, rose hip and chamomile teas during the day. You can find them in any grocery store.

About Me

My photo
I am a freelance writer, Reiki master, and educator, with diplomas in teacher's aide and child psychology, and numerous writing courses. I home schooled my son, who was born 10 weeks early and was expected to have developmental and learning lags. In 6th grade, he took an 8th grade standardized achievement test, and scored as a college sophomore in math and English. It inspired me to write a book, which I have given away for free! It is called Make your Kid a Genius, and can be downloaded at my website http://www.irenehelenzundel.com I am passionate about alternative healing methods; especially Reiki, aromatherapy, acupressure, therapeutic massage and music and sound therapy.
